Montreal (March 23, 2007)- In a new Angus Reid Strategies survey, 77 percent of Canadians responding say they’re convinced global warming is occurring. The online survey, billed as Canada’s largest climate change study, found 69 per cent of respondents think global warming estimates are backed by “real science.”
Nearly half- 47 percent- said they believe climate change will significantly affect their lives and those of future generations. Angus Reid Strategies’ researcher Ellie Sykes said global warming was a top concern along with healthcare for Canadians.
The survey covered 3,600 people and was conducted from March 6 to March 19.
