Washington, DC (December, 9, 2006)- Both the House and Senate approved and the President signed a continuing resolution (HJ Res102), which would fund those federal agencies whose appropriations bills have yet to pass, at the lowest of FY 2006, House passed, or Senate passed levels until February 15th.
The resolution contained a number of riders including a measure that will allow snowmobile access to Yellowstone National Park this winter. While Congress will take up this issue when the 110th Congress convenes in January, Incoming House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) and incoming Senate Majority leader, Reid (D-NV) have expressed their support for a long-term resolution to fund programs for the remainder of FY 2007.
