Tree Banquet Toast to National NeighborWoods Month

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – October 1, 2006. Trees Forever today announced that it will host the Our Woodland Legacy: Annual Banquet. This event is one of more than 100 regreening efforts throughout the country being promoted during October, which has been declared National NeighborWoods Month by the national nonprofit, the Alliance for Community Trees (ACT). Trees Forever is a member of ACT’s NeighborWoods Network.

Join us for an inspirational program and wonderul dinner to help us celebrate our accomplishments. The evening will highlight outstanding 2006 volunteer and partner award winners. The Keynote Speaker will be Ray Tretheway, Executive Director of the Sacramento Tree Foundation and second-term city councilman. Ray has led efforts on downtown revitalization, empowering neighborhoods and habitat protection, including the Sacramento Greenprint. Master of Ceremonies will be Amy Johnson Boyle, Director of Marketing & Communications at the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce.
