Bloomberg and New York Restoration Project (an ACT member) Founder Bette Midler today launched the Million Trees NYC initiative to plant and care for one million trees throughout the five boroughs in the next decade. PUBLIC POLICY
College Cost Reduction and Access Act
Washington, DC (September 7, 2007)- Staff at 501c3 organizations are now recognized as 'public sector' employees. Among numerous other provisions, the legislation makes individuals eligible for loan balance forgiveness. This new law should make ACT members even more competitive in hiring recent college graduates and attracting talent.
