Gannett Foundation Community Action

The Community Action Grant Program provides support to nonprofit organizations in communities across the United States where Gannett owns a newspaper or broadcast station. Priorities include: neighborhood improvement, economic development, youth development, community problem-solving, assistance to disadvantaged people, and environmental conservation.

Unitarian Universalists Fund Social Change Organizations
Deadline: September 15, 2009

The Fund for a Just Society, a program of the Unitarian Universalist Association, provides grants to nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada that address issues of social and economic justice. Priority is given to projects that are less likely to receive conventional funding.
