ACTION ALERT
National Small Business Tree Planting Program

In the early 1990s there existed a $30 million annual tree planting program at the Small Business Administration (SBA). Unfortunately, the program fell away and hasn't been funded in years. The program was a valuable tool for small businesses, who worked in collaboration with state and local governments to beautify retail storefronts, rental housing, and parks. Each locality receiving funds was obligated to contract with nonprofit organizations or private industry companies.

Now ACT is leading an effort to reinstate the SBA Tree Planting Program.

We have a House sponsor who would like to introduce legislation in December or January. Let's show Congress that you remember this program and want it back!

If you think that your Representative should sign-on as a co-sponsor, contact ACT to find out what you can do.
