ServiceNation
Day of Service- September 27

ACT is one of the organizing committee members of ServiceNation, a campaign to unite Americans in volunter service and address specific social challenges. Through this campaign, ACT supports the call for expanded volunteer opportunities, and encourages all members to participate in the movement by hosting a SerivceNation Day of Action event and asking their Congressional representatives to support ServiceNation legislation.

ServiceNation Summit
ServiceNation will launch with a bipartisan summit in New York City, September 11-12, which will bring together hundreds of leading Americans to lay out a bold policy blueprint, promote new service legislation, and promulgate a Declaration on Service.

ServiceNation Day of Action
Two weeks after the ServiceNation Summit, ServiceNation will engage tens of thousands of Americans in hundreds of events across he country, in a national Day of Action.

ServiceNation Policy Agenda
Following the Day of Action, ServiceNation will lead supporters of service in a year-long campaign in support of the expansion of voluntary community and national service opportunities by September 11, 2009.
