SPOTLIGHT
Leveraging NeighborWoods Materials
For the last few years, the Lompoc Urban Forestry Department has combined their NeighborWoods Month event with Make a Difference Day. By joining the two campaigns, they are able to leverage additional resources such as Tshirts. By planning ahead and registering their event early they qualify for 50 Tshirts. As an ACT member, they're also eligible to apply for a Mini-Grant, which they're using to apply for additional Tshirts. So when their 100+ volunteers are out in the community on October 24, they will create a sea of NeighborWoods green, helping them to brand the event and heighten awareness. Pretty smart.
