NeighborWoodsTM Month 2011 looks to have been the largest ever, with over 800 re-greening, educational and training events in more than 200 communities. NeighborWoodsTM Month helps you frame your mission and actions for the media. Use the national campaign as a context for explaining how you improved your community this October. You can even use a template press release and customize it to tell your local media how you greened up your city this NeighborWoodsTM Month as part of over 800 green events nationwide!

Show online what you did this October
Social media is a great way to connect with your audience and supporters. Post about what you did during NeighborWoodsTM Month on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube, including photos and videos. Use the hashtag #NeighborWoods or tag "Alliance for Community Trees" on Facebook, and show your volunteers how they contributed to a mass national greening effort this October!

Don't forget to send in your photos from your October activities. Families planting together, corporate volunteers, youth taking action, and residents digging in to improve their neighborhoods make for perfect pictures.
