Western Communities Take Action Against Climate Change
(Phoenix, AZ)- A new report from the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy- Sonoran Institute reveals how local planners are working to reduce vehicle miles traveled, energy and water consumption, and encourage density under the banners of 'Sustainability' and 'Economic Efficiency.' The vast majority of policies cited by participants focused on mitigating or reducing climate change impacts through energy efficiency, expanded transit, urban forestry, and water conservation.
