GREEN Act for Affordable Homes Hearing
(Washington, DC)- On Thursday, June 11, the House Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity will hear testimony regarding the GREEN Act of 2009 (H.R. 2336). Please let your Representative know- before Thursday's hearing- that this bill is important to you, and ask him/her to be a co-sponsor.

Tree Rules OK in Zone Outside City Limit
(San Antonio, TX)- For years, developers have tried to ignore San Antonio's tree preservation ordinance on the city's outskirts. And for just as long, City Attorney Michael Bernard and other officials have insisted San Antonio has a right to protect trees in a 5-mile buffer zone outside city limits known as the extraterritorial jurisdiction. Last week, the 4th Court of Appeals weighed in on the debate and sided with the city.
