Anonymous Giving Gains in Popularity as the Recession Deepens
(Washington, DC)- At a time when many charities are desperately looking for new donors, an increasing number of philanthropists seem to be trying just as hard not to be found. Data compiled by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and anecdotal reports from fundraisers and advisers to donors, suggest that a rising number of people are choosing to give anonymously.

 

   
 


LOCAL STORY
First Annual Tree Report Card for DC
(Washington, DC)- Casey Trees has just released their First Annual Tree Report Card and Urban Tree Canopy Goal. The Tree Report Card is the only independent evaluation of the District's trees and tree canopy and possibly the first such assessment in the Nation. For 2009, the Tree Report Card Grade scored Washington, DC a grade of B.
