PA Outlines Plan to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Protect Economy, Environment
(Philadelphia, PA)- Governor Rendell announced that the commonwealth is taking significant steps in its efforts to avoid the devastating effects of climate change as he outlined recommendations from the state's Climate Change Action Plan, which are now open for public comment. The report recommends 52 actions- including urban forestry action- to help the state reduce greenhouse gas emissions that lead to a changing climate.

Tree Report Card Webcast
On October 28 at 1pm EST, Casey Trees will present a webcast on their Annual Tree Report Card. The Tree Report Card is the only independent evaluation of the District's trees and tree canopy and possibly the first such assessment in the Nation. For 2009, the Tree Report Card Grade scored Washington, DC a grade of B.
