Forest Service Releases Climate Change Roadmap
(Washington, DC)- To guide the Forest Service in achieving its goals for protecting and preserving forest land, the Service has developed a Roadmap for Responding to Climate Change. The Roadmap integrates land management, outreach, and sustainable operations accounting.

 

   
 


LOCAL STORY
Baltimore Clean Team
(Baltimore, MD)- Funded by a $1 million, eighteen-month federal stimulus grant, Parks & People Foundation's five Green Up, Clean Up work crews are clearing vacant lots, planting street trees, installing community gardens, and jack-hammering asphalt parking lots to replace them with bay-friendly native perennials.

Plant Ecologist, Green Seattle Partnership
(Seattle, WA)- This position will provide expert direction on the implementation and development of the vegetation management programs for Seattle Parks within the Green Seattle Partnership program in various locations citywide.
