Wubbzy Goes Green
Deadline: February 5, 2010

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, Wow Wow Wubbzy is going green. This April and May, children's television character Wubbzy will help kids learn about the environment and plant trees in schoolyards and playgrounds. Wubbzy is teaming up with Alliance for Community Trees to provide mini-grants up to $1,500.

 

   
 


LOCAL STORY
Our Urban Forest In Art
(Sacramento, CA)- The Sacramento Tree Foundation is seeking artists to participate in an upcoming, collaborative show with an art gallery. They are asking each artist to submit one piece of tree related art. The work can include people, or structures interacting with trees.

 
     

GREEN JOBS
Education Specialist
(Washignton, DC)- The U.S. Botanic Garden is seeking an Education Specialist, as part of its Public Programs Division. This person will serve as the primary planner and developer of lectures, thematic tours, conferences and workshops, and other formal and informal educational programs for adults and children.
