LOCAL STORY
Southern University Enhances Education with US Forest Service
(Baton Rouge, LA)- USDA Forest Service Chief Tom Tidwell recently signed an agreement with Southern University to enhance urban forestry education on campus. USDA will assist in attracting undergraduate and graduate students, employment opportunities, internships and other resources for the forestry and related natural resource science fields.

 
     


GREEN JOBS
Urban Forester, City of Palo Alto
(Palo Alto, CA)- The Urban Forester will manage the development, implementation, and ongoing management activities of the Urban Forest Management Master Plan program involving trees located in City parks, public rights-of-way, and on private properties. Acting as a liaison between the City and the Community, this position will supervise a small staff of thirteen.
