Sacramento, CA (October 16, 2007)- On Sunday, October 28, 2007, volunteers from the Arden Park neighborhood will plant over 100 trees throughout the community. Free trees are offered to residents through SMUD’s free energy saving shade tree partnership with the Sacramento Tree Foundation. Neighbors will plant over 100 trees!

Currently in its fifth year, this annual volunteer event always exceeds expectations! This is one of dozens of re-greening efforts throughout the country with the nationally adopted NeighborWoods program. Sacramento Tree Foundation staff will work with Arden Park neighborhood volunteers to build community unity by planting free energy saving shade trees from the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). One of the largest Neighborhood events each year, you don’t want to miss this planting! This is a great event for families and groups.
