Wubbzy! the green thumbs-up when the cute and quirky bendy-tailed character from the hit Emmy Award-winning Nick Jr. preschool TV series goes from yellow…to green in an exciting, brand-new DVD featuring a bounty of adorable Earth-friendly episodes! “Wubbzy Goes Green” is a must-have, green-themed collection that will help children learn what it takes to save Wuzzleburg, and the planet, one small step at a time! “Wubbzy Goes Green,” the newest installment in the best-selling DVD series from Anchor Bay Entertainment, crops up at retail stores nationwide, Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

“Just in time to help families celebrate Earth Day, this latest addition to the budding library of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! To further “plant the seeds” of earth-friendly activities, Anchor Bay has partnered with the Alliance for Community Trees (ACT) on a mini-grants program in coordination with the new Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! release. For every “Wubbzy Goes Green” DVD sold, Anchor Bay will donate $1 to the Alliance for Community Trees to help support the planting of trees in playgrounds and schoolyards across the country*. The tree-planting initiative “sprouts” on April 1 and continues through May 31, 2010.
“Alliance for Community Trees is thrilled to partner with Wubbzy to ‘green up’ the places where children spend most of their time,” said Alice C. Ewen, Executive Director for the organization. “Research shows trees are good for kids’ brains, as well as the environment, so this is a great investment in the future.”
In “Wubbzy Goes Green” (SRP: $16.98), Wubbzy and his best pals Walden, Widget, and Daizy gain an important understanding of the environment, animals, conservation, and recycling! From finding a new place for the Wuzzly bears to live to thinking up creative ways to reuse juice bottles, children will learn timely lessons about ecology, harmony, and personal responsibility, while they sing and dance along with a house full of penguins and a flutterfly named Norm! “Wubbzy Goes Green” features five episodes, including: “Save the Wuzzly!,” “All Bottled Up,” “Too Much of a Doodle Thing,” “Zoo Hullabaloo,” and “The Flight of the Flutterfly.”
To help celebrate the release of “Wubbzy Goes Green,” the DVD launch will be supported by two exciting consumer promotion initiatives. From April through December 2010, consumers will receive $3 by mail when they purchase any two First Juice(r) Brand 8-oz. reusable and recyclable sippy top or 32-oz. multi-serve refill bottles and any Wubbzy DVD. In addition, from April through June 2010, consumers will receive $3 by mail when they purchase a MaMa Rosa’s refrigerated pizza and any Wubbzy DVD.
