Marietta, GA (August 15, 2007)- Keep Cobb Beautiful is a nonprofit organization established in 1984 with the support of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners, for the purpose of “assisting the County and Board in establishing, promoting and maintaining a countywide policy for improved environmental and waste management.” Keep Cobb Beautiful is supported by the County Manager, Mr. David Hankerson.
Keep Cobb Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB), a national, non-profit public education organization dedicated to improving waste handling practices in American communities. Keep America Beautiful educates millions of Americans on all aspects of waste handling and solid waste issues. Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc. is funded by the Cobb County Government, recycling revenues, and private contributions.
KCB is made up of concerned people from all walks of life joined together to help the public become more aware and concerned about environmental issues. The Keep Cobb Beautiful Board consists of appointees of the Board of Commissioners, city of Kennesaw, Powder Springs, and Austell, along with at large members chosen by the Board.
