Carmel, IN (October 23, 2008)- Planting is part of NeighborWoods Month. Urban foresters Nichole Passineau and Dearen Mindham demonstrated tree planting at the Fairgreen Trace neighborhood in Carmel on Saturday. The neighborhood agreed to water the trees for a year. More trees will be planted along the Monon Greenway.
To celebrate the NeighborWoods Month the city of Carmel, the Carmel Urban Forestry Committee and Fairgreen Trace homeowners worked on a tree-planting event. Children and residents turned out Saturday morning for the event at Fairgreeen Trace.
Going a little greener- there were 33 trees planted on Saturday in the Fairgreen Trace neighborhood in Carmel. The event is among many “re-greening” efforts being promoted in Hamilton County this month.
