Indianapolis, IN (October 24, 2007)- Grab a costume and head to White River State Park on Halloween night! Join Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. volunteers and friends in a night-time tree planting and Halloween fest, starting at 10:00 pm. Volunteers will give the city a long-lasting treat- new trees- and then get an evening of sweet treats in return!
Highlights include: DJ Kyle Long doing what he does best- spinning international hip-hop and world music; fire spinners lighting the night sky with *poi* to keep the spirits away (or to invite them to join!), tree planting (cause a party wouldn’t be a party without planting some trees), multiple bonfires, gourmet s’mores (with Endangered Species Chocolate), spiced cider, and an acoustic music jam-session!
Costumes and ghost stories highly encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for best costume, “most unique costume and lame attempt at a costume. Bring a headlamp or flashlight! Bring an instrument for the jam-session if you so desire!
