Click to Donate $1 for Trees with Kudzu

Atlanta, GA (April 22, 2008)- Interactive website Kudzu.com is partnering with the Alliance for Community Trees to support urban tree planting, care, and education. For every consumer review written at kudzu.com/act from April 22 through May 9, Kudzu will donate $1 to help community groups provide greenery and fresh air to urban neighborhoods.

Who knew that being opinionated could make the world greener? If you can spare 20 words about your favorite restaurant, hairdresser, vet, dry cleaner, auto shop or other neighborhood service, then you can become a generous philanthropist for trees.
The promotion coincides with Kudzu’s recent community outreach efforts as the site expands nationwide. “Earth Week is the perfect time to join forces with ACT, and help give back to the neighborhoods that mean so much to Kudzu.com.” said Kudzu.com Vice President of Marketing & Business Development Rachel Spasser.
ACT is asking its members and partners to support the campaign by asking your friends and volunteers to write a review at kudzu.com/act by May 9th.
How it Works:
1. Go to www.kudzu.com/act and select “log in to join this fundraiser” and then select “join now” to create your new reviewer account. Kudzu will email you a confirmation message with a link to click to validate your account.
2. Once you’ve validated your account, return to www.kudzu.com/act and select “log in to join this fundraiser.”
3. To write a review, enter a business name and your location. Kudzu will generate a list of matching businesses. Next to the business you want to review, click the “Rate and Review” button. Type in your review and click “publish my review.” To return to your account and track your fundraising progress, click on “Go to My Kudzu”
There is no limit to how many reviews you may write. Through a special agreement with Kudzu, each review will generate $1 for Alliance for Community Trees.
