Denver, CO (October 20, 2009)- The 44th National MICD was convened in Denver this July, and CUFR Forester/Landscape Architect Aaron Crowell participated as a resource team member. MICD is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Architectural Foundation, and the United States Conference of Mayors.
The 44th National Session focused on urban sustainability and city greening efforts, and was sponsored in part by the USDA Forest Service. U.S. Mayors from seven western cities presented projects to a team of professional Planners and Landscape Architects over a three day session. The team applied their combined knowledge and experience to provide recommendations.
