EPA Stormwater Project Goes Green

Washington, DC (August 1, 2007)- In a showcase project, the U.S. EPA demonstrates that in fact, it is easy being green. The Ariel Rios South Courtyard project- located next to the EPA headquarters in Washington, DC- is an 8600-square-foot development that showcases numerous green infrastructure techniques and low-impact development practices. Site features include rain gardens, pervious concrete, sustainable landscaping, an 1128-gallon cistern, and a high-efficiency irrigation system.
