New ACT Member- New Jersey Tree Foundation

Somerset, NJ (December 1, 2010)- The New Jersey Tree Foundation is working to reforest NJ’s most urban cities through tree planting, volunteerism, and partnerships. This foundation assists many communities improve their environment and quality of life. City residents and volunteers take charge and complete projects themselves after training provided by the Tree Foundation.


Ex-offenders are also employed by the Foundation to help provide the first step of reintegration into society after imprisonment. The goals of the Tree Foundation are to promote the significance of community forestry activities to a comprehensive range of participants, expand urban, suburban and rural forestry activities, encourage volunteerism and strengthen relationships between the private and public sector of forestry experts through innovative programs and projects.
