New ACTrees Member- Uinta Headwaters Council

Park City, UT (January 23, 2012)- The Mountainland Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) area was authorized on March 17, 1998 by the Secretary of Agriculture. The Mountainland RC&D is a grassroots non-profit community-based 501(c)3 organization operating in Summit, Wasatch and Utah Counties in the State of Utah. In January of 2001, the Mountainland RC&D changed its business name to Uinta Headwaters RC&D.

The Council is part of the nationwide Resource Conservation and Development Program, which offers technical and financial assistance from the USDA for conservation and water management projects and expansion of economic, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Projects are led by RC&D councils comprised of volunteers from the private sector and units of local government. Council members identify local problems and develop and implement plans to solve those problems.
