Partnership to provide local trees

Las Cruces, NM (April 3, 2010)- Tree New Mexico is partnering with Alliance for Community Trees and The Home Depot Foundation to provide financial and volunteer support to Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity for tree plantings in two separate Las Cruces communities Thursday. Lance Davisson, the state Urban and Community Forestry coordinator, is expected to be in attendance, along with Mayor Ken Miyagishima and other local officials.

“Tree New Mexico is grateful to begin establishing a strong relationship with Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity,” said Suzanne Probart, executive director of TNM. “Tree New Mexico works hard to plant trees throughout New Mexico to build urban forest and to help keep New Mexico clean beautiful and healthy.”
