By John Boyd, Page: 1E
Baton Rouge, LA (May 1, 2008)- Each week The Advocate asks a different “quiz taker” for his or her current favorites in pop culture. Quiz Taker: Diane Losavio, 56, executive director of Baton Rouge Green.

What I’m Listening To: John Mayer- I really like his song ‘Waiting on the World to Change.’ That sort of says it all.”
What I’m Watching: HBO dramas- “I haven’t been a big fan of television for a while. I do like watching some of the HBO specials- the ‘John Adams’ series and ‘In Treatment.'”
What I’m Reading: “Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia,” by Elizabeth Gilbert- “I like it for several reasons. It’s a woman’s quest for spirituality. Not necessarily religion, but spirituality. But it’s also about travel and food.”
Where I’m Surfing (website): The Alliance for Community Trees (http://www.actrees.org)- “The Alliance for Community Trees is the national association for groups like Baton Rouge Green and from there you can find all sorts of other websites.”
Bonus Question: It seems like we’ve been seeing a lot about the green movement on television and in the news lately. Are folks finally starting to get behind the movement or is it just something they like to talk about?- “I think there are a lot of people that are getting behind it. We just had a booth at Earth Day downtown. I was very impressed with the number of people who came up that were very interested in what we were doing. We had one thing on composting and one on proper placement of trees for energy saving and folks were very interested. “I think a lot of folks are making a lot of baby steps which will change the way we all behave, like with the energy-efficient light bulbs, recycling and more composting.”
