Reforestation in Denver

Denver, CO (October 19, 2008)- October is NeighborWoods Month here in Denver, Colorado. Speaking of Trees is proud to give a shout out to Denver and its efforts to plant 500 new tress in the greater Park Hill Neighborhood.

Tree by Tree is the Mile High Million program of Greenprint Denver. The goal is to plant one million trees over the next 20 years. Everyone is encouraged to help out in this tree planting effort. What a great effort for all of us to support.
We know that trees facilitate sustainability by improving the quality of our natural surroundings. Studies also have shown that trees help reduce greenhouse gases. They also help control erosion and water runoff. We know how they help prevent global warming and provide natural cooling to buildings and pavement.
Here’s a big shout out to Denver and their efforts to plant a million trees!
