Tulsa, OK (July 2, 2009)- After more than 30 years working to make Tulsa a more beautiful, healthy, and livable community, Up With Trees finally has its own home! Up With Trees purchased and renovated the 7,600-square-foot building earlier this year.
The space includes administrative offices and more than 3,500 square feet of warehouse, as well as the Environmental Education Center, a large open space that is used for educational programs and public meetings. Previously, the organization operated out of leased warehouse space in an industrial area.
The purchase and renovation of the new building was made possible by donations from more than 88 individuals, families or organizations. It has been renamed the Klein Center, in recognition of Tulsa philanthropists Joe and Bonnie Klein and their children, all generous supporters of Up With Trees.
