The presence of trees in urban neighborhoods has been linked to reduced crime, healthier air to breathe, energy reductions and utility savings, public revenue, increased property values, and more. Maintaining environmental, economic, and social benefits of the urban forest requires individuals’ support. Trees don’t have constituents or votes, and so are often last to be considered. Individuals make the difference.
Most importantly, there is a role for everyone to play. Whether through sweat equity or financial equity, the urban forest needs your support.

ACT members are working to preserve the urban forest as fast as time, resources, and volunteer efforts are available. The keystone in that equation is volunteer efforts. Nothing would be possible without your constant watch, tree maintenance, requests to elected officials, and labor. To date, ACT members have planted over 7.8 million trees and engaged more than 450,000 volunteers!
