Clean air, green streets and healthy neighborhoods are signs of a sustainable community. Trees are essential to the health and livability of our nation's cities and towns. Trees and green infrastructure contribute to a dynamic, growing and prosperous economy in every American city. For this reason, ACTrees promotes domestic policy that builds greener cities through trees and innovative green space development. This focus results in long-term economic and health benefits for communities nationwide.
Join members and leadership from ACTrees organizations around the country the evening of Tuesday, March 6, for a Welcome Reception and Dinner. Wednesday, March 7, will start with education on emerging policies and a briefing on national issues. The country's top authorities and leading practitioners will gather to discuss and advocate for national public policy that acknowledges the value of green infrastructure. Following the morning session, participants will be ready to visit Capitol Hill to lobby their Representatives and Senators in Congress before reconvening for a Closing Reception at the end of the day.
