Influencing Policy with Smart Growth
July 30, 2007
Washington, DC
Greater Ohio has been advancing smart growth issues for only three years, yet has produced a candidate briefing book that has redefined how to communicate on issues. State Director, Gene Krebs, will discuss with humor, polling, statistics, and real examples how to communicate, frame, and discuss smart growth issues in a manner that campaign managers, speech writers, and candidates, in that order, find compelling.
The session will be 12:30-1:30pm at the National Building Museum, 401 F Street, N.W. (Judiciary Square Metro). The Smart Growth Speaker Series is free. No registration required.
The Smart Growth Speaker Series is sponsored by the U.S. EPA, ICMA, the National Building Museum and the Smart Growth Network. Smart growth is development that serves the economy, community, and environment. The series hosts speakers on monthly basis to discuss this approach to development, explore specific growth-related issues, foster dialog, and identify opportunities for positive change in growth and development patterns.
