Patagonia Environmental Grants Program 2012
Deadlines: April 30, 2012, or August 31, 2012
Patagonia funds only environmental work. We are most interested in making grants to organizations that identify and work on the root causes of problems and that approach issues with a commitment to long-term change. Because we believe that true change will occur only through a strong grassroots movement, our funding focuses on organizations that build a strong base of citizen support.

NEEF Every Day 2012 Grants

Our nation's public lands need our support every day. With stretched budgets and limited staff, land managers at federal, state and local public lands need all the help they can get. That help often comes from nonprofit organizations whose missions are focused on serving public land sites in the nation and the improvement and responsible use of those sites.
Native Plant Conservation Initiative Grants

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is soliciting proposals for 2012 Native Plant Conservation Initiative grants, which are awarded in cooperation with the Plant Conservation Alliance, a partnership between the foundation, ten federal agencies, and more than two hundred and seventy nongovernmental organizations. PCA provides a framework and strategy for linking resources and expertise in developing a coordinated national approach to the conservation of native plants.
Pulling Together Initiative Grants

Administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the Pulling Together Initiative provides funding for programs designed to help control invasive plant species, mostly through the work of public/private partnerships such as cooperative weed management projects.
Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund 2012 Grants

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is soliciting proposals to restore the habitats and water quality of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers and streams. The Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund will award over $10 million in grants and technical assistance in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Program.
Community Forest and Open Space Conservation 2012 Grants
Deadline: May 15, 2012
The Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, State and Private Forestry, Cooperative Forestry staff, requests applications for the Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program (Community Forest Program or CFP). This is a competitive grant program whereby local governments, qualified nonprofit organizations, and Indian tribes are eligible to apply for grants to establish community forests through fee simple acquisition of private forest land.
13th Annual Brower Youth Awards

National Wildlife Refuge Friends Grant Program

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, along with its partners, are requesting proposals for projects that assist organizations to be effective co-stewards of our Nation’s important natural resources within the National Wildlife Refuge System. This program provides competitive seed grants ($1,500 - $5,000) to organizations interested in assisting the Refuge System nationwide through their work and projects.

EPA Green Infrastructure Technical Assistance Grants

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now accepting letters of interest from communities interested in receiving direct assistance for projects that facilitate the use of green infrastructure to protect water quality. Technical assistance will be provided through EPA contract support, and will be directed to watersheds/sewersheds with significant water quality degradation associated with urban stormwater.
Constellation Energy EcoStar Grants 2012

Environmental stewardship is one of Constellation Energy's foundational values. The EcoStar Grant program was launched in January 2010 with a request for applications from nonprofit organizations seeking funds for environmental projects in their communities. EcoStar Grants are available to projects that fit into one or more of five stewardship categories: pollution prevention, education and outreach, energy efficiency, conservation and community activism.
2011-12 Chesapeake Bay Green Streets-Green Jobs Initiative
Deadline: March 9, 2012
The grant program is open to local governments and non-profit organizations in urban and suburban watersheds in the Chesapeake Bay region of Maryland, D.C., Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia who are interested in pursuing green streets, green infrastructure, and green jobs as part of their community or watershed planning. Grant assistance up to $35,000 is available for infrastructure project planning and design, and up to $100,000 for implementation and construction.
American Water 2012 Environmental Grant Program

Established in 2005, our annual Environmental Grant Program offers funds for innovative, community-based environmental projects that improve, restore or protect the watersheds, surface water and/or groundwater supplies in our local communities. This funding is available to community partners, while leveraging local resources and capabilities to make a positive impact on the environment.
Do Something Awards 2012

Since 1996, DoSomething.org has honored the nation's best young world-changers, 25 and under*. Do Something Award nominees and winners represent the pivotal "do-ers" in their field, cause, or issue. In 2012 (up to) five finalists will appear on the Do Something Awards on Vh1 and be rewarded with a community grant, media coverage and continued support from DoSomething.org. The grand prize winner will receive $100,000 during the broadcast.

Urban Forestry Fellowship 2012

The Garden Club of America is accepting applications for a national fellowship in urban forestry. The fellowship supports advanced undergraduate and graduate students. With this fellowship, The Garden Club of America seeks to forward their goal of advancing our knowledge of urban forests and increasing the number of scientists in the field of urban forestry. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee at Virginia Tech composed of practicing urban forestry scientists and professionals in related fields. Final selection is endorsed by The Garden Club of America.
