Council on Foundations: Critical Impact Awards

Deadline: January 8, 2007

Grantmaking foundations often support innovative solutions to societal issues, enhancing the common good in every corner of the world. Believing that extraordinary efforts deserve widespread recognition, the Council on Foundations has announced the creation of the Critical Impact Awards. This award program will honor grant-funded projects that have had a demonstrated impact on the common good, locally, nationally, and/or globally, and that can serve as models for others in philanthropy. Nominations are especially encouraged that address the four issue areas that will be highlighted at the Council's 2007 conferences: poverty, public health, environment, and disaster preparedness.

Nominations for family foundation programs must be received by October 31, 2006.
Nominations for programs funded by independent, public, and operating foundations, as well as for international and corporate grantmaking programs, must be received by January 8, 2007. Nominations for community foundation programs must be received by May 24, 2007.
