ECO Community Intern Program

Deadline: February 16, 2007

Community organizations working on environmental protection at the grassroots level can apply for paid summer interns who have been trained in science, engineering, management, education, and policy-related projects at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Since 1992, the EPA's Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) has sponsored an Intern Program through a cooperative agreement with the Environmental Careers Organization (ECO). More than 2,000 students throughout the U.S., from diverse ethnic backgrounds and all academic levels (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral), have participated in this educational program.

The ECO Community Intern Program is available each year, generously funded by the OEJ. Eligible organizations are invited to submit an application in order to participate in the opportunity to receive a student intern during the summer.
