Nathan Cummings Foundation Funds Social and Economic Justice Programs
Deadline: January 15, 2009
The Nathan Cummings Foundation is rooted in the Jewish tradition and committed to democratic values and social justice, including fairness, diversity, and community. The Foundation seeks to build a socially and economically just society that values nature and protects the ecological balance for future generations, promotes humane health care, and fosters arts and culture that enrich communities.
An additional goal is to strengthen the capacity of the Jewish community to work for social and economic justice, both in the United States and Israel. Funding priority is given to projects that have an impact at the state, multi-state, or national level.
Letters of inquiry may be submitted at any time; the next deadline for invited proposals is January 15, 2009.
