National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council Grant 2007

Deadline: September 6, 2006

The Forest Service's national cost-share grants program, under the direction of the National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council (NUCFAC), just posted this year's grant guidelines. The deadline for pre-proposals is September 6th.

Grants are generally for projects that are national in scope or create innovative models worthy of national replication. There are also several new opportunities under Category 4 that may be of special interest for local organizations - allowing for regional initiatives or for duplication and transfer of existing proven models.

Pre-proposals are limited to two pages. Be sure to format your proposal exactly according to the Selection Criteria elements to give your application the best chance of success. The program is competitive.

For the RFP, visit NUCFAC.

Congratulations, as well, to last year's ACT-member groups that received NUCFAC grants -- California ReLeaf, Sacramento Tree Foundation, Friends of the Urban Forest, and National Arbor Day Foundation.
