The Home Depot Foundation Promotes Healthy Communities

Deadline: Rolling

The Home Depot Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in the communities where company associates live and work throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Foundation is dedicated to creating healthy, livable communities through two grant programs.

The Affordable Housing Built Responsibly Program supports projects that result in the production, preservation, or financing of housing units for low- to moderate-income families. Preference is given to proposals that promote resource efficiency in design, construction, and operations.

The Healthy Community Trees Program supports projects that incorporate trees and landscape into the community development plans of neighborhoods as part of the infrastructure to control storm water runoff, create a sense of place, and provide shaded recreational opportunities.

The next application deadline for online letters is July 1, 2007.
