The Walgreens Corporate Contribution Program supports nonprofit organizations in local Walgreens communities throughout the United States. (Walgreens stores are located in 49 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.) The company provides grants to organizations that focus on the following issues: access to health and wellness in their communities, pharmacy education programs and mentoring initiatives, civic and community outreach, and emergency and disaster relief. The largest share of the company's annual grants budget is allocated to programs that address the health needs of community residents.
