Director of Sustainable Cities Programs, Urban Ecology Institute (Cambridge, MA)

The Director of Sustainable Cities Programs will be based out of UEI's office in Cambridge, MA, and will work under the supervision of the Executive Director. This person will be responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of the Sustainable Cities programs including CityRoots, Urban Forestry Tools, and Urban Ecological Research. He or she will also provide research, program development, and enable continued program expansion.

SBRWA Coordinator, South Bronx River Watershed Alliance (Bronx, NY)

Urban Forest Project Coordinator, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks (Grand Rapids, MI)

The Urban Forest Project Coordinator will lead Friends of Grand Rapids Parks' urban forest community engagement initiative. Key elements of the initiative include: an urban forest web resource center; a crowd-sourced citizen inventory and tree map; a wide array of tree-related activities, events, volunteer and partnership opportunities.

Urban Forester, District of Columbia (Washington, DC)

The District of Columbia Department of Transprotation Urban Forestry Administration seeks to hire several full-time foresters. The forester makes on-the-ground examinations and analyses of urban forest areas to determine which areas require short of long-range treatment in terms of total ecosystem. Conducts detailed urban forest planning investigations and inventories to identify characteristics and quantity of trees in the area. This includes pre-inspection project planning, field, site visits, studying background location records, analyzing vegetation and soil condition indicators on public space site-by-site and initially determining tree box, curb site or part suitability or condition, and proper season for work to be performed at a specific location.

Urban Forestry Volunteer Coordinator, University of Minnesota Twin Cities (Minneapolis, MN)

The successful candidate will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Minnesota Tree Care Advisor (TCA) program, as well as developing curriculum for said program, scheduling and teaching update training, managing the data base and writing the annual report for said program.
