Chief Executive Officer, North Dakota Association of Soil Conservation Districts (Bismarck, ND)

The North Dakota Association of Soil Conservation Districts (NDASCD) and its subsidiary Lincoln Oakes Nursery (LON) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. The CEO is responsible for carrying out all the business of the NDASCD and LON - either personally or with the assistance of staff - within the budget, policy and other guidelines approved by the Board of Directors.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, these broad areas:
* Financial - Overseeing cash flow, accounting method, production costs, payroll, and investments.
* Personnel - Supervision of employees, including annual performance reviews, salary adjustments and training.
* Communication - Between and among board, staff, conservation districts and partner agencies.
* Marketing - Of nursery products and Association activities.
* Nursery - Supervising the seeding, growing, lifting, grading, marketing, and distribution of nursery stock.
* Representation - Of NDASCD and LON on committees, at meetings and to the public.
* Coordinating NDASCD activities - convention, meetings, newsletters and website.
The CEO is answerable to the Board of Directors. A proven track record running a business, managing staff, communicating with groups and marketing products is important.
