Deadline: June 1, 2007
BridgeBuilders Foundation is accepting applications from small, community-based nonprofits that are working to build bridges among groups of people that differ with respect to age, gender, economic resources, and physical or mental ability. Priority is given to projects that actively promote social, economic, and environmental justice, especially those initiated by young people and those that address the needs of minority and low-income youth.
In recent years the Foundation has made it a top priority to support programs that encourage young people to broaden their experience and contribute to society. Projects that are initiated by young people and those that address the needs of minority and low-income youth are of particular interest to the Foundation.
While the Foundation concentrates its giving in western Pennsylvania, projects throughout the U.S. are funded. Grants generally range between $2,000 and $5,000. Grants are reviewed June 1 and November 1, annually.
