The Deputy Director of the Sacramento Tree Foundation is responsible for integration, supervision and support of programs and services. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with four Service Directors and four Program Managers, the Deputy Director's primary role is to ensure that programs and services are integrated to most efficiently meet the Foundation's vision and goals.

The Deputy Director leads day-to-day implementation and advances the Greenprint initiative - the Tree Foundation's model for building the best urban forests. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Deputy Director will assume full responsibilities and have full decision making authority.

The Deputy Director will build organizational capacity and staff competencies to grow the Sacramento Tree Foundation as a respected, reliable source for the growth of the urban forest both locally and nationally. The Deputy will also coach and advise key staff to lead their service and programs areas more effectively.

The Deputy Director will also have significant outreach and relationship management duties and will be expected to actively promote and build linkages and partnerships throughout the community.
