The National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) is seeking a dynamic, creative, highly motivated individual to design and manage an effective outreach and communication strategy to build NEEF's capacity to work with the formal school sector nationwide and help us launch a major initiative to infuse environmental education into high school curricula.

This position, Education Outreach Coordinator, offers an opportunity to promote the value of environmental education and work with the latest technologies to interact with national, state and local organizations, students and teachers. Primary responsibilities will include: establishing partnerships with national, state and local educational institutions, school systems, non-profit organizations, the environmental education community, government agencies and youth groups; designing and creating materials for on-line social marketing campaigns for education and youth-oriented networks; managing and up-dating the content for two websites; assisting in the management of two national competitions; and maintaining a comprehensive database of program partners and activities.

The ideal candidate will have: a track record of creating effective partnerships; demonstrated success with an on-line marketing campaign; experience in managing both engagement campaigns and constituent relationship management; general experience with Web tools; website design experience a plus, working knowledge and experience with maintaining blogs; content and content management skills; and a working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and social media networks. Applicant must have good interpersonal skills and be comfortable contacting and communicating with a variety of audiences in person, over the phone and electronically. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks required. Applicant should be able to work independently and in cooperation with a program team. Excellent written and verbal skills as well as a sense of humor are essential. Bachelors degree in related field and a minimum of three years program management experience preferred.
