Entergy Corporation, an energy company serving customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, is accepting applications for its 2009 Community Partnership Grant Program. Through the program, Entergy seeks to partner with nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations to help build stronger, more productive communities.
Entergy provides grants of up to $1,000 each for projects that effectively impact arts & culture, community improvement/enrichment, education & literacy, or healthy families. Grants will be made only to nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code, or to schools, hospitals, governmental units, and religious institutions.
Organizations must be located within Entergy's service territory (areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas.) (Note: Entergy Arkansas is not offering Community Partnership Grants in 2009.)
