(Organization?) is looking for an individual with experience and background in grant writing for CDBG and HOME programs and experience in writing environmental reports. We are also interested in candidates who may have experience working with the state, funding opportunities and housing programs.
Main duties include:
* Confers and assist with clients, managers, developers, business associations, community/neighborhood organizations, City departments and other public agencies related to project or program.
* Interprets new policies, procedures, and regulations, and develops new or amended programs or projects as need dictates, monitors program objectives to assure compliance with State and administrative regulations and program guidelines.
* Conducts studies and surveys, performs research and analysis and prepares recommendations for department management; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and outcomes; creates and implements program policies and procedures; develops guidelines, forms and related documents.
* Reviews grant opportunities; compiles and analyzes information for preparation of grants, contracts and agreements; negotiates terms; implements, monitors and prepares reports on conduct and performance of grants.
* Maintains liaison with State and Federal agencies; prepares reports and makes oral presentations to community groups, committees, commissions, and City Council.
Other duties include:
* Perform research on environmental laws and regulations
* Technical writing of environmental reports
* Analyze environmental data
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies/ordinances
* Work with public agencies to address environmental issues
* On-site reviews / Field observations
* Grant writing
* Research possible funding sources
* Project oversight
* Other duties may be assigned as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: At least four years of increasing responsible administrative and technical experience; OR a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or a closely related field; OR any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience: Environmental policy, planning, and community Development including CDBG, HOME, USDA, HUD and CalTrans Programs.
