Casey Trees, a leading Washington, DC based "green" nonprofit dedicated to restoring, enhancing and protecting the tree canopy of the Nation's Capital, seeks qualified applicants for an Executive Assistant. Ideal candidates are positive individuals with excellent communication and organizational skills who are dedicated to the mission of Casey Trees.

Responsibilities- selected
* Provides general support to Executive Director and Deputy Director.
Serve as primary point of contact between Casey Trees and the Board of Directors.
* Assists Business Manager to coordinate communications with the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee members.
* Receives and files timesheets; tracks benefit and comp time balances.
* Prepares new and departing employee documentation, and associated tasks.

Qualifications:
* Demonstrated ability and experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel. Use of InDesign a plus. Ability to learn and use similar software packages as necessary.
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, volunteers, Board members, community leaders, reporters, vendors, etc.
* Demonstrated ability and experience conducting administrative office work.
* Can maintain a demanding workload; ability to work weekend and evening events as required.
* Possesses initiative, problem solving skills, flexibility, and meets deadlines.

Compensation: $33K-$40K depending on experience. Competitive benefit package includes paid holidays, personal and vacation leave, flexible schedule, medical benefits and retirement plan.
