Deadline: February 11, 2010 The Five Star Restoration Program is currently accepting applications for the 2010 round of funding. Five Star grants provide $10,000-$40,000 to support local wetland, stream, riparian, and coastal restoration projects anywhere in the United States. These projects build diverse partnerships to foster local natural resource stewardship through education, outreach, and training activities. This program is a partnership among NACo, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Environmental Protection Agency, and Wildlife Habitat Council with support from Southern Company, FedEx and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). Added support is available for projects in the PG&E service area in California and in the Southern Company Service area in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the panhandle of Florida.
