Deadline: April 1, 2009
Taking Root Mini-Grants support innovative tree-positive interventions throughout the U.S. Community groups, nonprofits, and individuals are encouraged to apply. In the spirit of Wangari Maathai and the Green Belt Movement, community groups, nonprofits, and individuals may apply for modest mini-grants to support tree-related activities.
Fundable projects might include:
* A screening of Taking Root in your home, neighborhood, organization or school; at work or place of worship; or as a fundraiser
* Tree-planting costs such as buying trees, supplies or training materials
* Any tree-positive initiative! Tell us what you'd like to do:
Mini-grants will be awarded while funds are available. All recipients-individuals and groups- agree to be profiled on the Taking Root website and printed materials.
